China's crackdown on Pharma industry



In the latest crackdown on its industries, china will toughen law enforcement to curb monopoly practices and unfair competition this time in its pharma industry. The action follows November's regulatory guidelines that were to stamp out monopoly's inactive pharma ingredients. 

China remembers is a leading exporter of pharma products around the world. In a statement ministry of industry and information technology of China said it would stand in law enforcement against the unfair competition it will also stiffen enforcement of anti-monopoly laws in the areas of drug shortages and APIs prepare and adopt entities guidelines in the API market and investigate monopolistic practices. 

As part of its efforts to control different sectors, china has been cracking down on many sectors out of which tech and real estate are major ones. The move has come in for criticism by major companies as it has led to the fallen market capital of a number of those firms including major I.T. giants. The monopoly of giants like Alibaba has already been broken by China to make them listen to the government.
